It might be in reference to Mirai Sentai Timeranger, but the costume doesn’t seem right and the katakana is just Mirai Good, so… idk.
Shitposter while I tend to two babies. Maybe when I have my life back, I’ll help us get a few more niche communities back?

3·30 days agoI ended up being quite ok teaching over zoom, but I’m young(ish) and treat it like a streamer. Utilize chat, especially.
I’ll still admit that good professors read the room to stay engaging though; doing so without cameras, it’s more up to your imagination.

21·1 month agoKevin Sorbo is technically in many, many more movies… terrible Christian movies that no one heard of. Lol
Glad Lucy Lawless ended up being fairly normal.
Honestly, the BBQ is probably quite good, but it’s wasted on a cardboard cutout for sure.
I’ve had a 40 year old body for like, 25 years. I’m not 40 yet.

3·1 month agoAgreed. I’m glad I’m at least playing the older games in front of my kids. My 4yo loves Swanna, Haxorus and Volcarona from recently playing White and nobody has any idea what she’s talking about except me. Lol

7·1 month agoTbf, that’s not driven solely by their game sales. Both my kids literally wearing Pokemon clothes right now, lol
Yes, same; the real solution is Linux podium with an adapter in every room by default. But that’s not happening anytime soon, lol.
Technically it’s not the projector with the issue either, the podium is more or less a very fancy hub with a monitor built in. I feel like the adapter could just be built in if necessary, lol.
Yes but it’s generally easier and less prone to issues to just open their PowerPoint (or really, Google sheets) on the podium since I’m already using it. I’m sure the admin uses adapters as their excuse not to update the hardware though… (even if they are still using Win 11 on decades old computers).

5·1 month agoFarm rupees? I swear I couldn’t get rid of rupees fast enough, the RA achievements for the Wii version of the game required every chest opened and that version wouldn’t let you open a chest if you had too many rupees. Donating it all was top priority; I didn’t even do bug turn ins until way later.
I just want to share that last semester, the Windows podium computer we used decided randomly to update during a student presentation. It did not help their nerves, but I did turn it into a chance to evangelize Linux.
And no, they can’t use their own laptop, the connections to the podium computer, and thus the projector, use VGA…
I used to use ASCII art to mark sections in my statistical syntax. It’s not much but it made me happy when I got to show that to my advisor in grad school.

Lemmy Shitpost@lemmy.world•why the heck is bro watching a painting
8·1 month agoErr… my LGs screen saver is random paintings, which is either an LG thing or a WebOS thing. You don’t even pick the paintings.
I’m a bit more concerned it’s on the floor directly but that’s just because I’ve got toddlers and that’s always my first instinct now. That TV is in danger!
I vaguely remember connecting a chain of those… I want to say, spiral ramps? The kind you see in parking structures sometimes? Or something like that… It was a long time ago.
First game I ever made custom tracks on… as like, a 5 year old. I was more into making tracks than racing them, which is something that hasn’t changed in the past few decades.
She was like, the only recognizable name in the booklet too since she signed the pledge thing about spending. Then the top two Dems spent record amounts because fuck our country since Citizens United.
Moka pots are a little stronger than drip so it’s enough to keep me going. If something important is up, I might get a latte or something out… but I try to save that rush for important things so it still hits as intended.
Oh I should also mention I haven’t worked in an office for a couple years now. Now that I teach, I go full espresso before lecture and that’s it. Lol
Oh oh, let’s also bring back the DLSS5 memes because the automation literally does this. Lol
If it’s a lane closure, yes, you zipper merge at the end-- imo, because you need visual confirmation of what’s happening but also because it’s predictable and usually both lanes are already matching speeds and zipper merging ahead of you. There’s no need to complicate things with an early swap. Granted, I rarely see a lane closure warning more than 100 meters, if at all… in my tiny car, the best indicator that we’re merging is sudden lane changes of everyone in front of me.
Where I draw the line is when there’s an exit only lane on a freeway and people are zooming along and suddenly want in. Did they jump into that lane just to get ahead? Or are they a helpless victim of circumstance from the latest onramp and unable to merge until now? I let them in, but I’m usually bitter about it.

I was going to mention the same thing. Even the “smartest man alive” would be in those useless upper bounds.
To explain that upper bounds issue to others, imagine being the top score on a leaderboard. Some of that’s going to be random chance and other factors, even if most of the time you score in the top 1% of scores consistently.
