Sorry for the ambiguity. When I said “my instance”, I meant “the instance that I have an account on” (which is peertube.wtf). I do not host an instance.
Brief try (comparing to my instance which has integrated Sepiasearch):
Pro: found exactly what I was looking for without it being among lots of unwanted results.
Con: can’t sort or filter by duration.
Sunday strips are… an alternate timeline?

1·2 months agoNever really used Tor, my main experience was with ZeroNet. One reason I went with ZeroNet over I2P was that ZeroNet didn’t interefere with the rest of my traffic & still let me use the regular internet whenever I wanted to.
If I understand I2P outproxies correctly, I guess that means I2P still monopolizes your connection and outproxies are a workaround for that, right? An I2P intermediary that passes on normal traffic between you & the rest of the internet?
Thank you, Stupendous Man! You’re my hero!

1·2 months agoThe last time I experimented with I2P (7 years ago?), you couldn’t use the clear web at the same time as I2P. Is that still the case?

2·2 months agoWhich meant people had to actively find & pay for a Usenet provider. Which they didn’t do when there were so many additional venues to discuss things online for free.

3·2 months agoWhile I posted the link here in !piracy@lemmy.dbzer0.com , that’s not the focus of the site; I think they’re considering Usenet “over” as a place where many people discussed things. (I know I haven’t used it for that in… over two decades?)
