In most European countries prisons provide good living conditions and are safe places because the goal is to reintroduce people into society as better persons after they served their time. Not brutalize them and make them outcasts that basically can only reoffemd if they want to survive.

I’ve experienced it myself in Switzerland and when I complained about it on reddit multiple people from the Netherlands and Nordic countries had similar experiences. Not sure about Germany anymore, but I believe people there sucessfully fought against it.

I have 3 browsers.

One is my main browser Librewolf, I have a rule when using it: Never sign in anywhere and when I close it all data gets shredded.

Next is ungoogeld Chromium, which I use for shopping and sites where I need to log in. I have some sites cookies whitelisted so they don’t get deleted.

Third is currently Brave for banking. I don’t fo anything else with this browser. In the past I was using Firefox, but one of my credit cards has issues with it and won’t let me download statements.

That hits the nail on the head. I spent mamy hours of my infront of various computers ranging from Atari over C128 to 8086 and finally a glorious 386. Most of that time was spent fixing problems, trying to understand hard- and software issues and finding workarounds.

Kids these days with iPads and Chromebooks don’t experience any of that.

They don’t even have trained medical staff nor enough food at those concentration camps, what makes you think they have a telly? There’s been reports those self proclaimed christians even deny bibles to the detained.
