This is like asking why anyone bothers watching movies when they can watch short form videos on social media instead. It is brainrot.
No school uniforms, not even basic colour guidelines.
Yeah, I used to use “LOL” more as a teenager on MSN, etc. At some point it became more exaggerated; people began using it to show genuine laughter or to mock others, and “lol” became a more relaxed acknowledgement of general humour.
Another interesting change is “lmao”. That also used to be capitalised and used to indicate a level of laughter greater than “LOL”, but at some point it became lowercase and very passive aggressive. I almost exclusively see it being used to taunt/mock others, often by Gen Z.
It’s not, but if you’re seeing Boomers using it too it’s because their children are often Millennials.

I’m not sure if you looked at some of the other replies in the thread, but in this instance it was a live broadcast which has ad breaks. OP is paying for the ad-free tier, so instead of ads they had a black screen during the break. To describe this as Netflix “adding unskippable ads on premium plan” is just wrong, there are literally no ads being displayed.

This is still just about hypervisor, the title is just clickbaity to make it sound like something new has come out.

This is just a very late report on the hypervisor thing, it sounds like nothing new has been discovered.

When I am Supreme Leader of Planet Earth my first act will be to genocide the weebs.

Use Soulseek (you don’t have to use their app, there are alternatives like Nicotine+). Free yourself from a reliance on streaming platforms.

Since this is a piracy community, you should know that the best websites for anything don’t adhere to these types of laws. I’m always surprised by the number of people who don’t bother to look beyond the mainstream options (wikis exist for a reason) and either cave to whatever is being enforced or desperately look for ways to circumvent it. You don’t have to play that game at all.

Probably Crimson Desert. That’s the big new release with this bypass. It does cost a lot, so I guess some people could be desperate enough to try this. Personally I’d just wait for a sale or a safer alternative.

It’s interesting how music streaming has become so dominant in the public consciousness now that the first thought of new pirates is “how can I download from a streaming service?” rather than just downloading music through the same P2P mechanisms that have existed for decades. It’s like music just doesn’t exist outside of streaming for younger generations.

I find it very strange how many people in the comments here think the solution is to buy an iPhone. Maybe you are all just rich and can afford to spend $1000+ based on vibes, but considering the Android market still has a massive value advantage I’m not really sure what the point of switching is. This all feels very similar to how some Westerners decided Chinese tech and even the Chinese government were suddenly problem-free just because Americans elected Trump for a second time.
Very difficult to believe. I have had issues with Firefox over the years but in every single instance it was a result of my custom setup. The browser has no major compatibility issues out of the box. I think it’s way more likely your parents are technologically illiterate and confuse other problems or gaps in their knowledge as issues with the “new” thing (in this case, the browser).
