Oh it does happen. I’ve had people tell me linux isn’t a desktop OS multiple times and they listed ludicrous reasons that either are completely irrelevant or not true for like 10 years.

I’ve also had people tell me that PHP is a shit programming language and the reasons for them hating it were all outdated for like years or even decades. Once had some kid at a university I gave a lecture tell me “PHP doesn’t even have classes wtf how are you coding in that shit?” my man classes were introduced in PHP 5 which was released 22 YEARS ago, you weren’t even BORN when PHP5 was released.

Some people just want to hate something. Mostly if it’s something that’s “competing” with what they’re using. And that’s especially true in the tech world.

It’s no arch fuckup. The AUR is not an arch linux redponsibility and has always been “untrusted” - you should always verify what you’re downloading and building.

Problem is that bazzite and cachy are arch-based, but targeted at a group of people that arch doesn’t target. So you have users that just blindly download scripts from the AUR without doing proper verification.

This is more the fault of those distros and AUR helpers than arch.

Because, well, she’s dead. She’s an important part of ragnaroks story, but nevertheless dead, so there will be very little to no meaningfull interaction with atreus or kratos, which is honestly a bit sadge. It’s basically a completely isolated story that adds very little to the lore (considering we already know who faye is) and that’s just a bit meh.

Probably won’t be a bad game, but lorewise, I just feel we could’ve chosen a more meaningful character - or at least one that isn’t canonically dead.

Not sure how I feel about choosing her as Protagonist. But gameplaywise, it looks lit as always.
